In Destiny 2 today, raids and dungeons that used Feats have a Standard difficulty that gives weekly Tier 5 drops per encounter with no Feats required, and a separate Custom difficulty where turning on Feats raises your reward grade for extra, farmable rewards. The change arrived with Monument of Triumph on June 9, 2026, and the Power cap stayed at 550.

What changed with raid Feats in Destiny 2?

When The Edge of Fate launched in July 2025, Feats were the main way to push raid and dungeon rewards to higher tiers. Monument of Triumph split that into two difficulties. Shattered Vault's summary of the May 29, 2026 This Week in Destiny says raid and dungeon activities that had Feats now have a Standard difficulty without them, and that it "will continue to offer weekly Tier 5 drops per encounter."

Kyber's Corner puts it more directly: Standard difficulty no longer requires Feats to earn weekly Tier 5 rewards. That makes a normal clear far more rewarding for groups who just want to finish the raid.

Which raids does this cover?

The change applies to raid and dungeon activities that had Feats. Shattered Vault notes The Desert Perpetual as the raid named in the update. Bungie's summaries did not list every activity one by one, so check the difficulty selector in the Director for the activity you plan to run.

How does Custom difficulty work?

Custom difficulty keeps Feats as optional modifiers. Completing encounters with Feats active grants extra guaranteed rewards and tier upgrades, and Bungie says it overhauled both the quantity and quality of those rewards. Shattered Vault adds that these Feat rewards are farmable rather than locked to once a week.

How much does each Feat raise your reward grade?

  • Cutthroat Combatants: +4
  • Challenges: +3
  • Shocktroopers: +2
  • Token Limit: +1
  • Phase Limit: +1

Reward grades run from 0 to 5, and higher grades mean more guaranteed engrams. Bungie has not published a single payout table for every raid, so treat exact rewards per activity as something to confirm in-game.

Do featured raids still give Power?

No. According to Shattered Vault, featured activities no longer give a Power upgrade and reward top-quality gear instead. Kyber's Corner quotes Bungie: "There is no Power Level increase for Monument of Triumph." The maximum Power cap remains 550.

That shifts the endgame chase away from Power and toward tiers, Deepsight weapons, Adepts on Master and armor set bonuses.

Is there an easier option?

In the permanent Pantheon boss gauntlet, Adventure difficulty removes the Power cap, allows unlimited revives and relaxes some mechanic timers, in exchange for reduced rewards. Kyber's Corner lists Pantheon combatant Power at 300 on Adventure and 350 on Standard and Custom. Sources disagree on whether Pantheon uses Feats, so read the activity details in-game before you launch.

What about Grandmaster Nightfalls?

Grandmaster Nightfalls are still part of the weekly endgame. This week, from November 3 to November 10, 2026, the Grandmaster Nightfall is The Sunless Cell, with The Palindrome hand cannon as the bonus focus reward, per Kyber's Corner. We could not find a 2026 Bungie source detailing new Grandmaster Power numbers, so we are not reporting any.

What this means for your carries

If your group struggled with Feats, Standard difficulty is now the simplest route to weekly Tier 5 drops. If you want to farm higher grades, Custom difficulty with Cutthroat Combatants or Challenges is where the extra rewards are, and that is where a coordinated team helps most. Start with our Desert Perpetual raid guide, Salvation's Edge raid guide or Warlord's Ruin dungeon guide, and see the raid carry guide and dungeon carry guide for how runs work.

All carries are self-play: you play on your own account with our team, and we never ask for your password. Details are on our account safety page, and you can browse all carries and coaching. Drops are random, so we never guarantee specific loot.
