Quick answer: Salvation's Edge is the six-player Destiny 2 raid released on June 7, 2024 with The Final Shape. It has five encounters ending with the Witness, and its mechanics lean on shapes and callouts. Teams that communicate clearly do best. A Guardian Sherpa carry lets you play your own account while a guide explains each step.

What is the Salvation's Edge raid?

Salvation's Edge launched on June 7, 2024 as the raid of The Final Shape expansion (Destinypedia, Shacknews). It supports a fireteam of up to six Guardians and its encounters share a theme of Resonance, Conductors and shape-matching.

At launch Contest Mode capped Power at 1965 for the first 48 hours. Destinypedia lists a recommended power of 1965 at launch and 550 after The Edge of Fate; always confirm the number in the in-game Director. Typical clear length depends on team experience, so we do not publish a fixed time.

Salvation's Edge encounter guide

Salvation's Edge has five encounters in a fixed order. Mechanics below come from public guides and wikis (Shacknews, Destinypedia) and describe general play, not guaranteed strategies; numbers such as timers can change with updates.

1. Substratum: gain access to the Monolith

Goal: Lock six Conductor pillars.

Roles: Two teams of three split clockwise and counter-clockwise. One player stays on the active plate, one goes to the Conductor room and one clears enemies between rooms.

Key mechanics: Plates pass signals to each other and spawn Resonance shapes. Depositing shapes in the central box extends the Final Shape Looming timer. Hydras unlock doors, and Subjugators spawn if a signaled plate is not stood on.

Common wipes: Failing to stand on a signaled plate, which spawns a Subjugator. Collecting a fourth Resonance shape or letting the timer expire results in death.

Tip: Keep each pair's route fixed and make the timer-extending deposits a habit.

2. Dissipation: Herald of Finality

Goal: Defeat the Herald while depositing Resonance to extend the timer.

Roles: Three teams of two, one per section. Three players with Call to Reckoning go to the fit pit for the damage phase.

Key mechanics: There are two shape types, Pyramidal and Spherical, and the last shape collected sets the type of the whole stack. Only players with Call to Reckoning can damage the boss's head, and Blights must be destroyed to crack it. Stolen Favor reveals the Conductor's required shape.

Common wipes: Failing to stand on a plate summons a miniboss. Running out of final-stand time by pushing too long in a damage phase.

Tip: Name the three damage-phase players before the fight and rotate carefully.

3. Repository: carve a path

Goal: Clear three rooms and lock three Conductors in each, requiring Triangle, Circle and Square.

Roles: Three pairs, each responsible for one lane's plates.

Key mechanics: A Tormentor in each lane grants Stolen Favor to the player who defeats it. Later rooms can have crossed plate connections.

Common wipes: The Conductor connected to your plates may not match the shape your plates generate, so you may need to change lanes.

Tip: Check the shape first, then move lanes if the connection is crossed.

4. Verity: see beyond

Goal: Free the three solo Inside Guardians by matching 3D objects between the Outside statues and each solo player's pocket. Do this three times.

Roles: Three Guardians are Outside managing statues, and three are Inside in solo rooms collecting shapes and building matching objects.

Key mechanics: 3D objects are combinations of two 2D shapes. Knights and Ogres drop 2D shapes used to swap shapes between statues. The Witness's Catatonic Decimation randomly kills Inside players.

Common wipes: Outside players only see pedestals, not statues, which makes Ghost-to-statue matching for revivals error-prone. A Ghost placed in the wrong statue kills that player.

Tip: Slow down on revives and double-check before placing a Ghost.

5. Zenith: the Witness

Goal: Destroy six glyphs, then deal damage in the damage phase and final stand.

Roles: Players with Glyphbreaker destroy glyphs. The rest of the team handles the tests and damage phase.

Key mechanics: Only a Glyphbreaker player can destroy glyphs. Shooting bracelets during arm attacks grants Resonance (red for Hexahedron, yellow for Spherical, green for Pyramidal). Witness tests require removing nodes to form the shape of the most recently shot arm. Destroying three glyphs at once limits Subjugator spawns.

Common wipes: Failing to make the correct shape wipes the team. Standing in an attack zone too long gives the wrong Resonance, and staying on the platform during the plate smash is lethal.

Tip: Call the last shot arm color before every test, and leave the platform when the smash is called.

What roles and loadout work in Salvation's Edge?

A six-Guardian raid works best when every slot has a clear job before the first room. The chart below uses generic archetypes. No specific weapon or subclass is mandatory, and the best loadout is the one you already know how to play well.

  • Caller: reads timers and mechanics aloud so the team acts on one voice.
  • Mechanic runners: handle the encounter-specific task, such as nodes, relics or chalices.
  • Add control: keeps enemies off the mechanic players with wave-clear weapons and abilities.
  • Boss damage: brings precision or Heavy weapons and saves Supers for damage windows.
  • Flex support: revives, covers a missed slot and swaps in when someone falls behind.

Bring weapons for three jobs: adds, bosses and long-range threats. Pack at least one weapon you can use with Heavy ammo, keep a couple of utility abilities handy, and be honest with your fireteam about your role comfort. Make sure at least three Guardians are comfortable with solo-room play for Verity, and agree on a calm caller for Zenith.

How do I prepare for Salvation's Edge?

  • Update the game and check the recommended power level in the in-game Director.
  • Bring weapons for different damage needs and a build you know well.
  • Use a headset so you can hear callouts.
  • Turn on two-factor sign-in for your account.
  • Agree on roles and a caller before you start.
  • Pick a time window when you can play without interruption.

What are the most common Salvation's Edge mistakes?

  • Collecting a fourth Resonance shape.
  • Placing a Ghost in the wrong statue during Verity.
  • Standing on the platform during the Zenith plate smash.
  • Skipping the pre-fight briefing and trying to learn mechanics mid-wipe.
  • Spending Heavy ammo and Supers on adds instead of saving them for damage windows.
  • Talking over each other, which hides the one callout that matters.
  • Letting one player carry every mechanic, which makes a single death a team wipe.

What rewards does Salvation's Edge offer?

The raid's exotic is Euphony (a Strand Linear Fusion Rifle). Destinypedia also lists the Turmoil Engine (Sparrow) and Timeless Bond (Ghost shell) as exotic rewards, plus the Hunker Down and Edification emblems and the Diametric Crush and Resonant Cellweave shaders. We did not confirm a seal name, so we do not list one.

How does a Salvation's Edge carry work?

A Guardian Sherpa carry is a guided self-play run. You stay signed in on your own account and play every encounter yourself, while an experienced Sherpa joins your fireteam, explains each mechanic and helps the team stay on track. We never ask for your password on self-play orders. See the Salvation's Edge raid carry for the options; it is listed from $75 for a full clear, and the flawless-goal option is $150.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Salvation's Edge carry cost?

A Salvation's Edge self-play carry is $75 for a full clear and $150 for a flawless-goal run (no deaths) at Guardian Sherpa. Prices are shown before checkout, there are no hidden fees, and the WELCOME20 code takes 20% off a first order. See the Salvation's Edge carry page for the current price.

How long does a Salvation's Edge run take?

Time varies with the team, how many encounters are new to you and whether you choose the flawless goal. Your Sherpa gives an estimate on your order page before the run starts and explains each encounter as you go, which adds a little time but saves wipes.

What power level do I need for Salvation's Edge?

Check the recommended power shown in the in-game Director for Salvation's Edge and bring a character at or near it. Your Sherpa checks your character before the run and can suggest a quick power catch-up if you are under the recommendation.

Do I have to share my Destiny 2 login?

For self-play orders, no. You stay signed in on your own account and you stay signed in on your own account and join our fireteam through a normal in-game invite. On self-play orders we never ask for your password, your email login or your platform credentials. Piloted orders need secure account access, shared only after payment through your private order page. Read the account safety page for the full policy.

Can I cancel my order for a refund?

Yes, up to the moment a Sherpa accepts your order. Until then you can cancel from your order page for a full refund to the original payment method. After a Sherpa accepts, the customer-side cancel option closes, but our team can still cancel, refund or reschedule if something goes wrong. See the refund policy.

How do I book and what happens next?

Pick the run type on the product page and check out. You get a private order page where you confirm your platform, Bungie name and a time window. A Sherpa accepts the order, you receive a fireteam invite at the agreed time, and you play the activity together. Afterwards you have a 48-hour review window. The step-by-step guide covers each stage.

Is Salvation's Edge a hard raid?

Its mechanics rely on shapes, communication and solo-room play, and our sources describe it as a callout-heavy raid. Difficulty depends on your fireteam. A Sherpa explains the Verity statue logic and Zenith tests before you reach them, which helps new raiders avoid the most punishing mistakes, though we cannot guarantee any result.
