What is a Destiny 2 PvP carry?

A Destiny 2 PvP carry is a booked session where you queue into Trials of Osiris, Iron Banner or Competitive Crucible with experienced PvP Sherpas while playing your own account. They call engagements, share positioning tips between matches and keep the team calm. Opponents are real players, so a PvP carry is a goal-focused session, never a guaranteed result.

This hub explains what happens after you order, the difference between our three PvP services, sessions versus packs, how to prepare, and how we vet our PvP Sherpas. It is written by the Guardian Sherpa team and checked against our Trials guide and current Destiny 2 news for November 2026.

Key facts

  • Services: 3 PvP services: Trials of Osiris, Iron Banner and Competitive Crucible.
  • Price range: from $19 (Trials 3-win session) up to $95 (Competitive 3-session pack). Every price is shown before checkout.
  • Fireteam size: Trials is three-versus-three; you queue in a fireteam with Sherpas.
  • Session length: Iron Banner and Competitive sessions are 2 hours each; Trials sessions are built around a win goal.
  • No guarantees: wins, flawless runs and rank gains depend on every match, so they are goals, not promises.
  • Safety: self-play only. You play your own account and we never ask for your password.
  • Refunds: cancel for a full refund until a Sherpa accepts; 48-hour review window after completion.

What to expect from your PvP carry

PvP orders follow the same six steps as our raid and dungeon services, with one difference: timing depends on when each mode is live. Trials runs on weekends from Friday reset to Tuesday reset when it is active, Iron Banner runs for one week every four weeks, and Competitive Crucible is available every day.

The six stages of a Guardian Sherpa PvP carry, from checkout to the 48-hour review window.

1. Checkout

Pick a service and an option, then pay through Shopify checkout. The price on the product page is the price you pay. You never enter a Destiny 2 or platform password in our store.

2. A Sherpa accepts your order

A vetted PvP Sherpa accepts your order. Until that moment you can cancel from your order page for a full refund. After acceptance the customer cancel button closes, but our team can still cancel, refund or reschedule if something goes wrong; see our refund policy.

3. Your order page and the fireteam invite

Your private order link lets you confirm your platform, Bungie Name and a time when the mode is live, such as a Trials weekend or an Iron Banner week. At that time your Sherpas send a normal in-game fireteam invite to your own account.

4. The session

Your Sherpas review your loadout and subclass, then you queue together. During the session they:

  1. Call engagements. Short calls on enemy positions, numbers, low-health targets and who pushes or holds each round.
  2. Fit the team around you. Trials teams share roles rather than fixed classes; your Sherpas suggest the one that suits how you already play.
  3. Coach between matches. After a loss, a quick note on what happened, such as a mistimed push or a lost power-weapon fight, and what to change.
  4. Keep the team calm. Calm teams make better decisions in close fights, so the tone stays steady win or lose.
  5. Track your goal. Wins toward your Trials goal, Iron Banner Event Rank and objectives, or Competitive division progress.

5. Completion

A Trials session completes when the win goal you booked is reached or the agreed session ends; Iron Banner and Competitive sessions complete when the booked time is played. Your Sherpa then marks the order complete.

6. The 48-hour review window

You have 48 hours after completion to report any problem. Sherpas are paid only after that window closes and the job is confirmed as played fairly.

Queue with a team that talks

Most PvP losses come down to communication, not aim. Playing beside experienced teammates gives you a stable team and a clear plan for every round.

Before the first match, your Sherpas look at your weapons and subclass and suggest small changes that fit how you already play, not a meta setup you have never used.

Which PvP carry should I pick?

Choose Trials if you want a Lighthouse or flawless goal on a weekend. Choose Iron Banner if you want event objectives and Event Rank progress toward Iron Banner weapons and armor during its week. Choose Competitive if you want to climb divisions with a team that calls lanes and engagements; it is available any day.

What is included in a PvP carry?

  • Experienced PvP Sherpas who queue with you for the session or goal you booked.
  • A loadout and subclass check before the first match.
  • Live callouts on positions, pushes, holds and power weapons.
  • Short feedback between matches so you improve as you play.
  • A private order page to confirm your details and schedule.
  • Cancellation for a full refund until a Sherpa accepts, plus a 48-hour review window.

What is not included?

  • Guaranteed wins, flawless runs or rank gains. Opponents are real players and matchmaking decides who you face.
  • Guaranteed drops. Trials, Iron Banner and Competitive rewards are random.
  • Anyone playing your account. You always play your own character and we never ask for your password.
  • Play outside the mode's live window. Trials and Iron Banner can only be played when Bungie runs them.
  • Anything that breaks Bungie's rules, such as exploits, cheats or match manipulation.

Session vs pack: which PvP option is right for you?

Each PvP service comes in two sizes. A single session suits players who want to try playing with a coordinated team or chase one weekend goal. A pack suits players with a longer goal, such as a full Iron Banner week or a Competitive climb, and costs less per session.

ServiceSingle optionBigger optionWhat the bigger option adds
Trials of Osiris3-win session, $19Flawless goal, $39Aims for 7 wins with no losses for the top reward tier
Iron Banner1 session (2 hours), $293-session event pack, $79Three 2-hour sessions across the event week
Competitive Crucible2-hour ranked session, $353-session pack, $95Three 2-hour ranked sessions for a steadier climb

On Trials, a single loss ends a flawless streak but not the session: the team keeps playing toward the goal you booked, and our Trials carry guide explains how flawless and the Lighthouse work.

Calm calls in close rounds

In PvP nobody can predict what the other team will do, so the focus is decision-making: who pushes, who holds, and when to trade. Your Sherpas keep calls short so you can act on them.

If you want to improve for every future weekend, ask for feedback between matches. Many players find watching strong teammates more useful than reading about it.

How to prepare for your PvP carry

  • Power and access: make sure you can enter the mode. Trials requires SMS verification on your Bungie account, so set that up before your session.
  • Build: bring the weapons and subclass you are most comfortable with in PvP, not an untried meta loadout.
  • Comms: use a headset and be ready to call enemy positions in short phrases, such as location plus number.
  • Time: book while the mode is live and keep the whole session free. Trials is a weekend event and Iron Banner runs one week every four weeks.
  • Connection: a stable wired or strong Wi-Fi connection matters more in PvP than anywhere else.

Is a self-play PvP carry safe for my account?

A self-play carry keeps your login with you. You play on your own console or PC, and your Sherpas play on their own accounts in your fireteam. We never ask for your Bungie, Steam, PlayStation or Xbox password and never log in as you. If anyone claiming to be us asks for your password, do not share it and contact us.

To be clear about the limits: Bungie decides how it enforces its own terms. Its October 1, 2026 ban wave named boosting services alongside cheating, account recovery and ban evasion, without describing which practices it actioned (see our ban wave report). Self-play lowers the risk but nobody can promise zero risk, so read Bungie's policies before you order. We never use cheats, exploits or match manipulation. Our account safety page has the details.

Who are Guardian Sherpas?

PvP Sherpas are experienced Destiny 2 players who pass the same application process as every Sherpa:

  1. Application: Bungie Name, platforms, the activities they want to run and their record.
  2. Verified stat pages: public links such as trials.report or Bungie.net must match their Bungie Name.
  3. Callout test: a written explanation of how they would teach an encounter to a first-timer; an admin may ask for a trial run.
  4. Background check: any history of cheating, bans, account sharing or recovery services means a decline.
  5. ID and tax verification: photo ID with a selfie, plus a W-9 or W-8BEN form before any payout.

Sherpas only see jobs for activities they have proven and are paid only after your 48-hour review window closes. Interested? See Become a Sherpa.

The win that counts

Whether it is a seventh win on a Trials card, an Iron Banner objective or a new Competitive division, the progress lands on your own account because you played every match.

Results stay honest: opponents are real people, so we describe every PvP service as a goal with a strong team behind you, never as a guaranteed outcome.

Every win and rank gain is earned on your own account. Results are never guaranteed.

How PvP carry pricing works

PvP services are priced by session or goal rather than by activity length. Trials starts lowest, at $19 for a 3-win session, because the goal is short and the mode only runs on weekends. Iron Banner sessions are $29 for 2 hours, and Competitive sessions are $35 for 2 hours. Packs cost less per session than buying sessions one at a time.

  • The product page price is the price you pay, with no shipping charges: every service is digital.
  • New customers can use code WELCOME20 for 20% off a first order (one use per customer).
  • You can cancel for a full refund until a Sherpa accepts your order.
  • Want coaching instead of a carry? Read our coaching guide.

Destiny 2 in 2026: which PvP modes are still live?

Destiny 2 has been in maintenance mode since Monument of Triumph on June 9, 2026, but its PvP modes are still running. Trials of Osiris returns for the weekend of November 6 to 10, Iron Banner is projected for November 17 to 24 with Focus Pool 2, and Competitive Crucible continues with rank-based matchmaking and no 2026 rank reset. Bungie is still shipping fixes and enforcing its rules.

Frequently asked questions about PvP carries

What is a Destiny 2 PvP carry?

A Destiny 2 PvP carry is a booked session where you queue into Trials of Osiris, Iron Banner or Competitive Crucible with experienced PvP Sherpas while playing your own account. They call engagements, suggest positioning and give feedback between matches. Because opponents are real players, every PvP carry is a goal-focused session, not a guaranteed result.

How much does a PvP carry cost?

Guardian Sherpa PvP carries start at $19 for a Trials of Osiris 3-win session, or $39 for a flawless goal. Iron Banner costs $29 for a 2-hour session or $79 for a 3-session event pack. Competitive Crucible costs $35 for a 2-hour ranked session or $95 for a 3-session pack. New customers can use WELCOME20 for 20% off a first order.

Is a flawless Trials run guaranteed?

No. A flawless run means seven wins without a loss, and the opposing teams are real players, so no one can guarantee it. The flawless-goal option means your Sherpas aim for that streak with you. A loss ends the flawless streak but not the session, and the team keeps playing toward the goal you booked.

When can I book a Trials of Osiris carry?

Trials of Osiris runs as a weekend event from Friday reset to Tuesday reset, and it is not available every week. The next Trials weekend is November 6 to 10, 2026. Book a time inside an active Trials weekend on your order page, and remember that Trials requires SMS verification on your Bungie account.

When does Iron Banner run?

Iron Banner runs for one week every four weeks. Our November 2026 post projects the next event for November 17 to 24 with Focus Pool 2, but that date is a projection, so check the in-game schedule. Iron Banner carries are booked during an Iron Banner week, either as a single 2-hour session or a 3-session event pack.

Will a Competitive carry guarantee a rank?

No. Competitive rank gains depend on every match, so no division is guaranteed. A Competitive Crucible carry gives you 2-hour ranked sessions with experienced PvP Sherpas who call lanes and engagements and give feedback between matches, which helps you climb the divisions from Copper toward Ascendant at your own pace.

Do you need my password for a PvP carry?

No. Every PvP carry is self-play: you play your own account and your Sherpas play their own accounts in your fireteam. We never ask for your Bungie, Steam, PlayStation or Xbox password, and we never use cheats, exploits or match manipulation. If anyone claiming to be Guardian Sherpa asks for your password, do not share it.

Should I pick a session or a pack?

Pick a single session if you want to try playing with a coordinated team or chase one weekend goal. Pick a pack if you have a longer goal, such as a full Iron Banner week or a steady Competitive climb, because packs cost less per session. Trials comes as a 3-win session or a flawless goal instead of a pack.

Can I cancel my PvP carry?

Yes. You can cancel from your private order page for a full refund to your original payment method until a Sherpa accepts the order. After that, the customer cancel button closes, but our team can still cancel, refund or reschedule if something goes wrong. After completion you have 48 hours to report any problem.
