This page explains every step from sending your application to taking your first Destiny 2 job. Most Sherpas go from application to approval in 2 to 5 days.

Apply now Why Sherpa with us

What do you need before you start?

  • Your Bungie Name (for example Guardian#1234) and the platforms you play on.
  • At least one public stat link: raid.report, dungeon.report, trials.report, DestinyTracker or your Bungie.net profile.
  • A PayPal email that can receive payouts in your country.
  • A working microphone if you want to run raids.
  • About 8 minutes to fill in the form.

Step 1: Fill in the application

The form has seven short sections:

  1. About you: legal name (staff only), gamer name, country, time zone and an 18+ confirmation.
  2. Contact and payout: email, portal password, PayPal email, and optional phone and Discord.
  3. Your Guardian: Bungie Name, platforms, Cross Save, classes and regions.
  4. What you will Sherpa: raids, dungeons, Trials, Grandmaster Nightfalls, exotic missions, seals or coaching, plus your clear counts and stat links.
  5. Callout test: explain how you would teach one raid or dungeon encounter to a first-timer. This is the most important answer on the form.
  6. Availability and voice: languages, weekly hours, usual play times and mic.
  7. Background and agreement: experience, ban history, references, and the Sherpa agreement.

Step 2: Confirm your email

We send a link straight away. We only review applications with a confirmed email. Check spam if it does not arrive within a few minutes.

Step 3: Automatic check

Once you confirm, we check your Bungie Name format, your stat links and every required field. If something is missing, we email you a list and a link to fix it. Applications left unfixed are deleted after 30 days.

Step 4: Admin review

A Guardian Sherpa admin reviews your clears, your callout answer and your background, usually within 2 to 3 days. We may invite you to a short trial run or screen-share so we can hear your callouts.

Step 5: Verify your account

If you pass review, log in to the Sherpa portal and finish four items:

  • Photo ID and a selfie holding it. This proves you are a real adult and that the account is yours.
  • Tax form (W-9 in the US, W-8BEN outside the US). US rules require this before we can pay any contractor.
  • Connect PayPal. PayPal is the only way we pay Sherpas.
  • Turn on two-step login to protect your account and earnings.

Adding a mobile number is optional, but it lets us text you new job alerts.

Step 6: Take your first jobs

The job board opens for the activities you proved. Claim a job, join the customer's fireteam on your own account and play the activity together. We review your first jobs closely and help with any questions.

How and when are Sherpas paid?

You earn 70% of every order you finish plus 100% of customer tips. Pay is released by PayPal once the customer's 48-hour review window has closed and the job is confirmed as played fairly.

What gets an application declined?

  • Stat links that do not match the Bungie Name, or clears we cannot verify.
  • Any history of cheating, bans, account sharing or recovery services.
  • A callout answer that is copied or too vague to teach a new player.
  • Being under 18, or not being able to receive PayPal payouts.
