Carry or Coaching? How to Choose the Right Destiny 2 Service

A group of Guardians follows a golden-lit trail while a veteran crouches to guide a newer player

Choose a Destiny 2 carry if you want to finish a specific activity with an experienced guide, and choose coaching if you want to learn how to clear it yourself. Many players use both: coaching to build skills, then a carry for the hardest encounters or a limited-time goal.

When should I choose a carry?

Pick a carry when you have a clear goal, such as a raid clear, a dungeon, a Trials run or a title triumph, and limited time. You play your own account while your Sherpa guides the run.

When should I choose coaching?

Pick coaching when you want to understand mechanics, improve your build or gain confidence for future runs. Skills from coaching stay with you.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a carry and coaching?

A carry gets you through an activity with a guide so you earn the completion now. Coaching teaches you the mechanics so you can clear it yourself later. Both are self-play on your own account at Guardian Sherpa.

Which one is cheaper?

Coaching starts at $29 per hour; carries start at $19 for Trials and $25 for dungeons. A carry is cheaper for a single completion, while coaching pays off if you plan to run the activity many times.

Can I combine them?

Yes. The most common combination is one coaching session to learn the roles, then a carry for the final boss or the flawless attempt. Mention it on your order page and your Sherpa plans both.

Do I have to share my Destiny 2 login?

For self-play orders, no. You stay signed in on your own account and you stay signed in on your own account and join our fireteam through a normal in-game invite. On self-play orders we never ask for your password, your email login or your platform credentials. Piloted orders need secure account access, shared only after payment through your private order page. Read the account safety page for the full policy.

Can I cancel my order for a refund?

Yes, up to the moment a Sherpa accepts your order. Until then you can cancel from your order page for a full refund to the original payment method. After a Sherpa accepts, the customer-side cancel option closes, but our team can still cancel, refund or reschedule if something goes wrong. See the refund policy.

How do I book and what happens next?

Pick the run type on the product page and check out. You get a private order page where you confirm your platform, Bungie name and a time window. A Sherpa accepts the order, you receive a fireteam invite at the agreed time, and you play the activity together. Afterwards you have a 48-hour review window. The step-by-step guide covers each stage.
